Teach English ONLINE to Adults in Austin, TX

Manos de Cristo (Manos) is a nonprofit that offers ESL classes to immigrants in Austin, Texas and the surrounding areas. Our ESL classes range from Levels Basic through High Intermediate. Our English program relies entirely on volunteer instructors, and that's why we need you!

Our ESL teachers provide classes in north, central Austin and gain experience in lesson planning, interpersonal communication and exposure to cultural diversity. Teachers prepare and administer lessons from materials provided by Manos while bringing the English language to life from their own real world applications.

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to commit to teaching ESL classes once or twice a week between 9:30AM and 11:30 AM or 6:30PM and 8:30PM (CT). Classes begin on August 18 or 19 and will run through November 18, 2026. Previous ESL teaching experience is a plus but not a requirement, as is knowledge of other languages. Volunteers will receive curriculum guides, ebook/platform access and materials, and additional learning resources from the Manos Education staff. Training workshops are provided when the resources are available.

Please contact Karin Zamora at kzamora@manosdecristo.org or apply as using this form: https://manosdecristo.wufoo.com/forms/q19a6ysr0qrtwxt/

Individuals who desire hands on training in the world of ESL are highly encouraged to apply. This would also be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to teach English abroad. Manos de Cristo is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering low-income individuals by promoting dignity and self-reliance.
