Discord Moderator

Grounded Boots Relief is seeking a volunteer social media person with a strong emphasis on Discord moderation and community management. This role helps keep our primary volunteer communication platform organized, respectful, and mission focused.

As our Discord Moderator, you will help welcome new members, guide conversations into the appropriate channels, enforce basic server rules, and support a positive, professional culture. You may also assist with light social media tasks such as responding to messages, flagging questions for leadership, and helping keep information consistent across platforms.

This role is fully remote and ideal for someone who is comfortable online, enjoys community building, and understands how good moderation keeps organizations effective. Experience with Discord is strongly preferred. Experience with social media moderation, Canva, or nonprofit communications is a plus but not required.

You will be helping volunteers stay informed, connected, and ready to serve. Behind the scenes work like this directly supports disaster response and long-term recovery in Western North Carolina and beyond.
