Job Title: General Population Relationship Management Intern

    Department: Donor Management

    Team: General Population Relationship Management

    Location: Remote

Duration: 4 Months, 5 Hours a Week (Flexible around midterms and finals)

Compensation: Unpaid / Academic Credit Available

    What You’ll Be Doing:

As a General Population Relationship Management Intern, you will help our Political Action Committee build long-term relationships with everyday people across the country. PACs rely on public support to drive real policy change, and your work will focus on connecting with citizens who care deeply about mental health reform. You will help turn general public awareness into grassroots financial support ($5, $10, $25) that directly funds non-partisan advocacy and mental health resources.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Write clear, conversational emails, text messages, and social updates that explain to everyday citizens how small gifts powered by a PAC make a big difference for mental health legislation.
    • Take current mental health news, policy updates, and advocacy efforts and turn them into simple, compelling stories that resonate with the general public.
    • Answer incoming questions from everyday supporters, draft personalized thank-you messages, and help keep our broader community feeling connected and valued.
    • Assist with setting up online grassroots fundraising drives and digital petitions aimed at introducing our PAC to new public audiences.
    • Look at which mental health issues and outreach messages get the strongest response from everyday people so our team can refine future public communication.

    Qualifications:

    • Current college student with a strong interest in politics, mental health advocacy, and community outreach.
    • Strong writing skills with the ability to speak clearly to the general public without relying on confusing political jargon.
    • Active listener who understands how to build trust and make political involvement approachable for everyday people.
    • Basic experience using spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel) to help track contact lists and campaign performance.
    • Self-motivated, reliable, and excited to help build grassroots political power for mental health resources.
