Ohm Sanctuary is a group coordinating farms, producers, chefs, students and mentors eager to stabilize supply of affordable, healthy food in LaSalle County. More than 125 growers on regenerative farms across the Midwest region are seeking buyers for their premium quality food. By connecting cooperative components and streamlining a spoke of the wheel midway to Chicago, OhmS provides by 2027:
- affordable renting of a certified kitchen
- simple recipes for farmers to turn their bumper crops into off season revenue
- delicious farm goods to sell in a farmer-led food cooperative
- advanced skillset development for people seeking a farming vocation
- strong mentorship with chefs and established regenerative farmers
- access for socially disadvantaged farmers to supply local food
- post-trauma intervention with all-inclusive spiritual uplifting
- immediate work and income for candidates seeking independent finances
- long-term regional local food supply steadiness
To secure the property and get the facility licensed in 2026, we seek volunteers to assist our efforts of cleanout and ongoing weekly tasks. Must be willing to propel InterFaith Fellowship.

Volunteers who engage in food co-op pickup must have a valid drivers license. On field tour days, volunteers will be required to attend a pre-tour training to understand safety and sanitization in the U-Pick fields of host farms.
