Role Overview
The Community Sponsorship & Partnerships Volunteer will support South Project by reaching out to local small businesses and corporate organizations to secure sponsorships and in-kind donations. These contributions may include fundraising items, raffle prizes, event sponsorships, or monetary support that directly helps us further our mission.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, communicating with businesses, and making a tangible impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify local small businesses and corporate partners
- Reach out to potential sponsors via email, phone, or in person
- Share South Project’s mission and upcoming opportunities for sponsorship
- Request in-kind donations, raffle items, fundraising items, or financial support
- Maintain basic records of outreach and responses
- Communicate updates and leads with the South Project team
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable reaching out to businesses and professionals
- Organized and reliable
- Passion for community service and supporting women and families
- Previous fundraising, sales, or outreach experience is a plus (but not required)
Time Commitment
- Flexible schedule
- Approximately 3-5 hours per week (adjustable based on availability)
