About Dream Experiences
For children navigating the foster care system or facing challenging living situations, moments of pure, unburdened joy can often feel out of reach. Dream Experiences is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built to change that. We believe every child deserves a reprieve from their daily hardships and the opportunity to feel celebrated for exactly who they are. By partnering with local youth organizations, we connect underserved kids with personalized, unforgettable experiences in music, arts, sports, and skill development that align with their unique passions. In our first year, we have successfully begun turning these dreams into life-changing memories, sparking lifelong curiosity, and reminding these kids that their joy matters.

The Role
As we look to expand our impact in our second year, Dream Experiences is seeking a strategic and mission-driven board member to spearhead our marketing efforts and elevate our brand identity.
This is a working board position requiring a time commitment of at least 10 hours per month. Please note that this is an unpaid volunteer position.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate brings a strong marketing background and a deep passion for youth advocacy, with the ability to take ownership of our communications.
Desired Qualifications:
- Mission Alignment: A genuine, deeply held belief in the importance of creating joy for all youth, and a dedication to providing opportunities for kids facing challenging living situations.
- Marketing & Branding: A strong professional background in marketing, branding, and communications.
- Social Media: Proven experience managing, overseeing, or growing a successful social media presence.
- Nonprofit Experience: Previous professional or board experience working for a nonprofit.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable and experienced using AI tools to streamline workflows, draft materials, and maximize marketing efficiency.
Bonus Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
While our primary need is marketing leadership, we highly value candidates with the following:
- Fundraising: Experience in fundraising strategy, donor relations, or grant writing.
- Strong Local Network: Familiarity with the Los Angeles entertainment, sports, or local business landscapes to help facilitate and connect the organization with future "dream experiences" for our youth.
