After School Tutor in Beach Flats

Volunteer for the After School Homework Club at The Nueva Vista Resource Center The program runs for the 2025/2026 school year.

Tutors help students of all ages (kindergarden through high school) in subjects including math, reading, writing, science, and history. You will be matched with a student (or small group) that fits with your abilities.

High School Students are welcome to join as tutors for younger kids.

Beginners are welcome! We will give you the tools you need to be a successful tutor, including training before tutoring begins.

Available volunteer slots are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00pm - 5:00pm - you set your schedule!

Volunteers also help staff with setting up the room, preparing materials and snacks and generally being supportive to the students.

Fall orientation is scheduled for September 3rd at 3:00pm.

If you aren't able to attend orientation you can schedule a meeting with staff to replace it.
