Our favorite family holiday tradition is even bigger and magical this year! This year, Santa is bringing his favorite Candy Cane Carnival games with him, and volunteers can participate for a day, or throughout the whole weekend!
The afternoon of Friday, December 12th, we need help preparing for the event and setting up the activity stations in our Education Center from 2pm-5pm.
For our public Children's Holiday Festival on Saturday, December 13th, from 9am-12pm, we are serving a delicious pancake breakfast provided by our wonderful patrons, the Kiwanis Club of Lynchburg. Visitors will play festive games, win fun prizes, explore a blacklight snowball fight, skate on our sock skating rink, and create a keepsake ornament that your loved ones will cherish forever! Volunteers will assist with the activity stations and some cleanup afterwards.
Our Everyone is Special Children’s Holiday Festival will be held Sunday, December 14th, from 2pm-4pm, and offers a sensory-friendly holiday festival experience. This year’s event features milk and cookies, the ever-popular sock skating rink, pictures with Santa, ornament making, and museum exploration. Volunteers will assist with the activity stations and serving refreshments, with teardown and cleanup afterwards.
