Family Leadership Celebration Volunteer Support

Denver Public Schools Title 1 Specialist Team gearing up for our Family Leadership End-of-Year Celebration on Saturday, May 9th, and we’re looking for 4–6 energetic volunteers to help make this event a success for our families!

This celebration highlights everything our families have learned this year about being Calm, Kind, and Highly Capable. We need your help to keep the energy high and activities running smoothly.

Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, May 9th
• Location: Central Park Picnic Area #1 (MLK/Beeler)

Volunteer Roles & Shifts:

• Setup Crew (10:00 AM – 11:00 AM): Help transform the park! Assist with banners, station setup, and getting the BBQ ready.
• Station Co-Facilitators (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM): Cheer on families and help run one of our four pillars:
  • Calm & Kind: Assist families with collaborative rock painting.
  • Fun with Food: Lead the “Two-Bite Challenge” and food reviews.
  • Literacy Yard Games: Run movement-based reading games.
  • Family Testimonials: Help parents submit feedback to earn free ice cream cards and inform next year’s programs.
• Tear Down Crew (3:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Pack up supplies and ensure the park is left clean.
