ABOUT THE POSITION: The Fundraiser Coordinator Volunteer will report to the Executive
Director/Founder, Development Director, and when necessary, the Board of Directors. Evening/weekend
availability is preferred. Expected time commitment is 3-5 hours/week, although this could vary
depending on events. The Fundraiser Coordinator Volunteer will help our organization by planning and
executing fundraising campaigns and events, managing event-specific donor and sponsor relationships,
and tracking revenue generated by these campaigns and events.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Work directly with the Executive Director/Founder, Development Director, and Board of Directors to create fundraising campaigns and events within the community
- Create a presentation/video to be shared at meetings/appointments/speaking engagements (collaborate with the Community Outreach Volunteer)
- Research prospective fundraising ideas and create a fundraising event annual calendar
- After prospect approval, contact potential fundraising venues and platforms
- Work with stakeholders and other volunteers (Social Media, Marketing & Communications, etc.) to market fundraising events
- Gather and maintain information from event attendees, for example “Join Our Mailing List” and volunteer list
- Work with Donor Relations Volunteer to have all community member information (newsletter, potential donor or volunteer sign-ups) entered into CRM
- Ensure any legal reporting requirements are satisfied and maintain excellent financial records for our treasurer/tax preparer
