    Resource Developer (Volunteer)

    About A&N Career Services Project

A&N Career Services Project is a career services and workforce readiness initiative supporting individuals as they navigate career transitions, build readiness, and connect with opportunity. Our programs are strengthened by access to wraparound supports that help remove barriers to participation and long-term success.

The Project is currently in its launch and growth phase. Volunteers joining at this stage will contribute to building practical tools and shared resources that support participants, staff, and partners as programs and partnerships expand.

    Role Overview

We are seeking a Resource Developer to research, organize, and maintain a comprehensive resource directory for participants and staff in Atlanta, GA and Chicago, IL.

This role is focused on research, organization, and usability. You will help compile local, regional, and state-specific wraparound resources into a clear, well-structured directory that can be easily referenced by staff and participants. The goal is to ensure that individuals have timely access to reliable information that supports stability, participation, and long-term success.

This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys research, systems, and building practical tools that others depend on. The role collaborates closely with program and operations volunteers and may work alongside other Resource Development roles to ensure consistency across locations.

    What You Will Do

    • Research and compile local, regional, and state-based resources related to wraparound supports (e.g., housing stability, transportation, childcare, food access, healthcare, financial assistance, and workforce supports)
    • Organize resources into clear, user-friendly categories for staff and participant use
    • Develop a structured resource directory that is easy to navigate, reference, and update
    • Verify accuracy and relevance of information, including eligibility criteria and access details where available
    • Coordinate with Chicago-based resource support roles to ensure consistency in structure, format, and organization across locations
    • Collaborate with program and operations volunteers to align resources with participant needs
    • Support the establishment of a consistent approach for how wraparound resources are documented and referenced across the Project
    • Participate virtually. Optional and flexible in-person meetings or events in the Atlanta or Chicago area may be available, dependent on the volunteer's location and based on project needs

More than one volunteer may be selected for this role based on project needs.

You Will Be a Strong Fit If You

    • Have experience with community resources, social services, workforce development, public benefits, or related fields
    • Are skilled at research, organization, and documentation
    • Enjoy building practical, well-organized tools that others rely on
    • Are self-directed and comfortable working independently with periodic check-ins
    • Have familiarity with, or confidence navigating, local or state-level resources in Georgia or Illinois
    • Value collaboration and consistency in multi-location initiatives
    • Want to contribute work that directly supports participant success and staff effectiveness

    What You Will Gain

    • Meaningful volunteer experience contributing to participant-facing support tools
    • Portfolio-ready work creating a resource system used across the Project
    • Professional references upon successful completion of the cohort
    • Mentorship and collaboration with experienced professionals in career services and experienced professionals
    • Inclusion in a growing professional network connected to A&N Career Services Project
    • The opportunity to see your work actively used to remove barriers and support real peop
