Make a Meaningful Difference with Autumn Hospice

Do you have a caring heart and a special bond with your dog? Autumn Hospice is seeking compassionate Pet Therapy Volunteers to help bring comfort, connection, and joy to our patients.

As a Pet Therapy Volunteer, you and your canine companion will visit hospice patients in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, and private residences. Your presence can make a powerful difference during some of life’s most important moments.

Role Details

• • Role Type: Volunteer (unpaid)
  • Schedule: Flexible — choose the days and times that work best for you

What We’re Looking For

• • Volunteers with therapy-certified dogs or dogs that have successfully completed the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Test
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to pass a background check and follow Autumn Hospice policies
  • Commitment to completing our volunteer training program
  • Dogs must be current on core vaccinations, including:
  • Rabies
  • Distemper
  • Parvovirus
  • Leptospirosis
  • Adenovirus
