The Armor of God is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals and families through outreach programs, including food distribution, clothing support, and community-based assistance. The Bread of Life Pantry is a core initiative focused on addressing food insecurity and providing consistent access to essential resources.

Position Overview

The Program Coordinator for The Bread of Life Pantry plays a key role in organizing, managing, and supporting pantry operations. This individual will oversee a small team of volunteers (4–5 individuals), coordinate distribution activities, and ensure a smooth and impactful experience for those we serve.

This is a volunteer leadership role ideal for someone who is organized, compassionate, and passionate about community service.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee Bread of Life Pantry operations and distribution days
• Supervise and support a team of 4–5 volunteers
• Schedule volunteers and ensure adequate coverage for all activities
• Maintain organization of inventory, supplies, and distribution processes
• Assist with planning and execution of outreach events and food drives
• Ensure a welcoming, respectful, and efficient environment for all participants
• Communicate regularly with organizational leadership regarding program needs and updates
• Track basic program activity (e.g., number of individuals served, distributions, etc.)

Volunteer Leadership & Team Management

• Provide guidance, direction, and support to volunteers
• Help onboard and train new volunteers (training will also be provided to you)
• Foster a positive, mission-driven team environment
• Address minor challenges and escalate concerns when necessary

Support & Resources Provided

• Training and ongoing support to ensure success in the role
• Company-provided equipment and tools needed to effectively manage the program
• Travel reimbursement for approved events or activities outside of the local community

• Dependable and able to manage time effectively
• Previous experience in volunteer coordination, food programs, or leadership is a plus (not required)
