Position Title: Caregiver/Family Support Hospice Volunteer

Location: Serving Communities Throughout Central Ohio

Organization: Care360 Hospice

Position Summary:

We understand that the journey of hospice care extends beyond the patient to encompass their family and friends as well. We are seeking caring individuals to join our team as Caregiver/Family Support Volunteers, offering essential and practical support to families navigating the challenges of end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support and companionship to family and friends of hospice patients
• Assist with light household tasks, meal preparation, and errands to alleviate daily stresses
• Offer respite care, allowing family caregivers to run errands themselves (2 hours maximum is required of volunteers in 1 visit)

Requirements:

• Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle emotionally challenging situations with sensitivity and care
• Flexible schedule to meet the varying needs of families
• Completion of hospice volunteer orientation and onboarding procedures
