Project Overview:
An independent documentary project currently in development is entering an early public-facing and visibility-building phase. As archival research, project development, and infrastructure continue to expand, the focus is now shifting toward building a thoughtful, cohesive public presence across web, visual branding, and selected digital platforms.
We are seeking a Branding, Website & Digital Presence Associate (Volunteer) to support the visual and strategic development of the project’s public-facing identity and broader media ecosystem.
This is a collaborative, development-stage role focused on branding, design, digital presentation, and strategic visibility.
Role Summary:
The Branding, Website & Digital Presence Associate will work closely with the director to help shape the project’s visual identity and public-facing presentation across websites, social platforms, photography, and related media assets.
This role is well-suited for someone interested in documentary film, media, branding, design, culture, and thoughtful digital storytelling.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support visual branding and identity development across project platforms
- Assist with website design, organization, and refinement (WordPress preferred)
- Help develop a cohesive visual strategy for Instagram and related social platforms
- Assist with graphic design needs for digital materials and public-facing assets
- Support photography coordination, visual documentation, and creative presentation where applicable
- Contribute ideas around audience positioning, visibility strategy, and digital cohesion
- Assist in organizing visual assets, references, and branding materials
Who This Role Is For:
Someone with experience in branding, graphic design, marketing, photography, digital media, website design, communications, or creative direction
OR
Someone without formal professional experience who is:
- Visually thoughtful and creatively inclined
- Organized and proactive
- Interested in documentary film, media, culture, and visual storytelling
- Comfortable contributing ideas and collaborating on evolving creative work
A genuine interest in documentary film, archival storytelling, media, culture, and social impact is strongly encouraged.
Time Commitment:
- Approximately 5–8 hours per week
- Additional availability welcomed during key visibility and rollout periods
- Flexible, collaborative commitment during the project’s early visibility-building phase
