Caregiving volunteers help the staff provide direct resident care. No experience is necessary and training/shadowing is provided. There will ALWAYS be a staff person present with whom you'll work. Some shifts are busy, some are quiet, depending on the capability and status of the residents. Activities may include sitting at a resident's bedside and visiting, interacting with a resident's family, friends, and caregivers, helping to feed a resident or refreshing their snacks/beverages, helping give the resident a bed bath, with toileting, or helping to change a resident's soiled clothes, 'attends', and bed linens, and organizing a resident's belongings. Volunteers must be 18 years of age. Shifts are in 4 hour blocks, every day, between 8am and midnight.
