The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to set and guide the strategy for all communications, website, and public relations messages and collateral to consistently articulate our mission and programs to beneficiaries, potential donors, partners, staff and volunteers. CMO will work closely with BizLeadhers Leadership and Board to build a brand that exemplifies the company’s mission and connects with the values of women entrepreneurs.
How you will create impact (Key Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement an integrated strategic Marketing plan to advance our brand identity; broaden awareness of programs and priorities; increase visibility of programs across the ecosystem.
- Create content/public relations/ social media strategy that will allow BizLeadhers leadership to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences, including potential partners, donors, the media and key influencers.
- Design program-specific promotion campaigns for B2B and B2C enrollment goals and build the brand as a respected and trusted partner for entrepreneurial capability building.
- Non-profit leadership roles require grit, enthusiasm and the energy to be an ambassador, story teller and sales person. Leadership roles are expected to open doors to partners and sponsors to raise funds for our programming.
A little bit about you (Ideal Candidate Profile):
- Remote role, 5-10 hrs/wk
- Ability to think strategically and get things done
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity
- Deep belief in supporting women entrepreneurs and underrepresented founders
- Experience in startups, accelerators, incubators, or founder communities is a big plus
- Strong relationship-builder, comfortable working with senior professionals & entrepreneurs
- Experience volunteering or working for non profit organizations, leading a remote team of volunteers with clarity, enthusiasm and structure
- A professional network in focus markets NY/NJ and Miami is very helpful.
- Ability to design innovative solutions to reach women entrepreneurs effectively and build brand awareness at scale
- Expertise in running social media campaigns and digital marketing strategies including SEO in a cost effective manner
