Volunteer: Forestry and Gardening Assistant

Peaceful Village is looking for volunteers who are passionate about Nature, sustainability, and hands-on outdoor work. As a forestry and gardening assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining our green spaces and contributing to our eco-friendly initiatives. Ideally, volunteers should have some experience in forestry or gardening, particularly in the Amazon region, and be physically fit to handle the work. Please note, Peaceful Village is a clothing-optional space.

Specific Tasks:

• Weeding: Help maintain our garden and forested areas by removing unwanted weeds.
• Chopping and Pruning Trees: Assist with managing the growth and health of our trees through pruning and tree care, using tools like machetes.
• Hauling Sawdust and Sand: Move materials around the property for various projects.
• Planting Cover Crops: Help plant cover crops like Pinto Peanut to promote soil health and prevent erosion.
• General Outdoor Tasks: Assist with various other gardening and forestry activities as needed.

Tools Required:

You will be using tools like machetes, shovels, and other gardening or forestry equipment. Please note, we do not provide gloves, so you must bring your own non-leather gloves (no cow or other animal skin).

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ideally, prior experience in forestry and gardening, especially in the Amazon region.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be physically fit for manual labor tasks.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in a team setting.
• Willingness to learn and get hands-on with tasks.
• Enjoy working in Nature and contributing to environmental efforts.
