Pour Drinks, Meet New People, Support Our Neighbors – Beer Tent Volunteers Needed
Descripción
Descripción
Join us for a fun summer event and help support Chicagoans experiencing homelessness while enjoying one of River North's most popular festivals.
The Chicago Help Initiative is looking for volunteers to help staff our beer tent at the Taste of River North on July 17 and 18.
This is a fun, easy volunteer opportunity that helps raise critical funds for our weekly meals and supportive programming for people experiencing homelessness in Chicago. All tips from the beer tents directly support our work, including hot meals, social services, employment assistance, and community-building programs.
No experience is required. Volunteers will receive training before their shift, and experienced supervisors will be present throughout the event to answer questions and step in whenever needed. If you can smile, be friendly, and enjoy interacting with people, you'll do great.
This is also a great way to meet new people while volunteering alongside a fun team of community-minded individuals. Whether you're coming with friends or volunteering on your own, you'll be part of a welcoming group working together for a good cause.
All volunteers will receive a Chicago Help Initiative volunteer T-shirt.
Because we must commit to event staffing levels in advance, it is very important that volunteers only sign up if they are confident they can attend. We will personally contact volunteers by email and/or phone approximately two weeks before the event to confirm availability and finalize schedules.
