Volunteers Needed: 18
Timeline: Aug 11, 2026 to May 15, 2027
COSDS project managers must possess a masters degree or higher in IT, CS, ML, frontend, backend, full stack development or related fields or present a Github repo and documentation proving competency in leading software development. Each project manager will be assigned to a management team wherein they will co-manage the full stack development and shipping of a project, leading a team of four developers and coordinating with a project steward for documentation. The following tools will be provided to the management team:
- An @NTARI.org email address
- Enterprise access to Google Gemini and NotebookLM
- Access to Claude AI (standard or 5x Max) at a 40% discount
- A dedicated Slack channel
- Access to Jira and Confluence
- Four dedicated frontend/backend developers
- One project steward
- Access to NTARI-RAND on Github
To qualify for a project manager position:
- Apply for the position https://ideali.st/swNGVG
- Possess at least a masters degree in IT, CS ML or a related field
- Complete the Volunteer Orientation course at https://ntari.org/volunteer
- Be able to commit to no less than 20 hours per week, for 9 months of development
Applicants who complete the 1733 course on https://ntari.org/volunteer may select their project on a first-come-first-served basis. Every volunteer will receive a program acceptance letter, access to time tracking workflows in Slack/Jira and a completion letter detailing their position and contributions. All contributors will also be listed in the official documentation of the final product.
