Host Laura from Spain (Rock Climbing Enthusiast)

Laura is a confident, outgoing, and adventurous 15-year-old from Spain entering the 10th grade. Having already participated in short-term exchanges in Ireland and the UK, she is an experienced traveler and very adaptable. Laura is an avid reader who has already finished over 30 books this year! She is a "future journalist" who loves rock climbing, cheerleading, and shopping. As a big sister who is used to sharing, Laura is excited to join an American family, share her Spanish culture, and experience everything U.S. high school life has to offer.

We are looking for a host family to welcome Laura into their home as a member of the family. Whether you have kids, are empty nesters, or are a single-parent household, what matters most is your heart for cultural exchange.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment.
• Provide three meals a day (student has their own spending money for eating out).
• Treat the student as a member of the family, not a guest.
• Help the student integrate into the local community and high school.
• Volunteer opportunity (no stipend is provided)

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Have a spare bedroom (students can share a room with a host sibling of the same gender and similar age).
• A heart for cultural exchange and supporting a young person's dreams!
