Hospice Companion Volunteer

Volunteer with Green Meadows Hospice

Come and join our compassionate team of volunteers at Green Meadows Hospice. As a volunteer, you will provide meaningful companionship and support to patients and families during an important and often challenging time.

We are seeking caring individuals to serve within our local community by offering comfort, presence, and assistance tailored to each patient’s needs.

Volunteer activities may include:

• Playing board games or cards
• Reading aloud or sharing stories
• Light household tasks (sweeping, light housekeeping)
• Going for walks
• Conversation and reminiscing

We are happy to work with your schedule. Volunteer visits typically last from one hour to a few hours, depending on your availability and the patient’s needs. Patients are thoughtfully matched with volunteers based on location.

Requirements:

• Completion of one orientation/training session
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
• Travel to patients’ homes or care facilities
