Point Defiance Work Party at the Bear Grotto, April 11th!

Join Us for a Work Party at the Bear Grotto!

Help behind the Bear Grotto at Point Defiance Park and give back to your community by caring for this important area in the park. The Bear Grotto is a beautiful spot, but pesky weeds are trying to take over! Remove invasive blackberries, thistles, and other unwanted weeds to improve the health of the habitat! All ages and abilities are welcome! Tools and work gloves provided.

What You’ll Do:

• Remove unwanted weeds
• Care for newly planted native plants
• Learn about local ecology and restoration practices
• Have fun working with fellow nature lovers

Where: Bear Grotto is located behind the Rose Garden along Roberts Garden Drive

What to Bring: Wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a water bottle. Tools, gloves, and training provided!
