Event Planner

The Blaque Script is a youth-led creative writing collective dedicated to uplifting Black voices through storytelling, poetry, and artistic expression. We are currently in our early stages and are looking for a creative and organized Event Planner to help design and coordinate virtual and in-person events that bring our writing community together.

In this role, you will help plan and organize events such as writing workshops, open mic sessions, writing challenges, and community discussions. You may also assist with developing event ideas, creating simple schedules or agendas, and helping ensure events run smoothly. This role is important in building engagement and creating interactive spaces for young writers to connect and share their work.

We are looking for someone who is organized, creative, and comfortable taking initiative. Prior event planning experience is not required, but strong communication skills, reliability, and interest in community-building are important.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in leadership, event management, communications, or the arts to gain hands-on experience while helping shape meaningful experiences for a growing creative community.
