My Good Brain (MGB) is a 501(c)(3) arts nonprofit dedicated to youth mental wellness through art and play. MGB is hosting a free, family-friendly Mental Health Action Day event focused on art, creativity, and emotional wellness.
We’re looking for community event volunteers to help us create a welcoming, supportive space for children, teens, and families in the San Diego community. This is a hands-on, community-centered event where volunteers will directly support activities that promote mental wellness in a fun and accessible way.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Volunteers will help support different parts of the event, including:
- Welcoming and engaging with participants
- Assisting at art & wellness activity stations (coloring, mindfulness jar, etc.)
- Helping families understand activities
- Supporting the mental health resource table
- Assisting with setup (canopies, tables, materials)
- Helping with the cleanup and breakdown after the event
- Light event support (guiding flow, etc.)
Commitment
- One-day event (Saturday, May 23, 2026)
- Volunteers are asked to stay for their full shift if possible (setup, event support, after-event cleanup)
- Setting up (begins at 8 AM)
- Event (10 AM – 3 PM)
- After event cleanup(begins at 3 PM)

No prior experience is required, though experience working with children or in community settings is a plus!
