Descripción
Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space is seeking grant-writing interns to join its Development Team. The primary responsibilities of these grant-writing interns will include proposal and report writing, and working closely with the development team and senior program staff.
Qualifications:
Some copy editing or PR experience preferred.
Responsibilities of individual team members may include:
- Researching foundations and presenting well-reasoned recommendations to build our base of support.
- Working closely with Communications to prepare high-quality letters of inquiry, and foundation and major donor correspondence.
- Cultivating donors through research and outreach, and provide status reports at team meetings.
- Correspondence with appropriate program staff for program details to determine grant applicability.
- Collaboratively writing operating and program grant proposals, coordinating with program administrators and financial officer for budgetary and program information.
- Taking ownership for a handful of grants and monitoring their proposal review process for appropriate and timely submission.
- Maintaining and documenting funder contacts and proposal deadlines in the respective databases.
- Creating communications and cultivation materials for past and current major grant-makers to enhance their relationship with MoRUS and increase the likelihood of continued contributions.
