What This Is All About:
Hospice Bereavement Volunteers provide compassionate support to family members and loved ones after the death of a hospice patient. Through listening, presence, and gentle outreach, volunteers help ensure that no one feels alone during the grieving process. Volunteers may also assist with legacy projects, memory-making activities, and remembrance initiatives—helping families honor and preserve the life and memories of their loved one. Bereavement support is a vital part of hospice care and is offered in accordance with CMS hospice regulations.

We’ll Support You:
Bereavement volunteers receive specialized training in grief support, communication, boundaries, and recognizing when to involve hospice professionals. Volunteers are also trained on legacy projects and memory-making activities. Ongoing support and supervision are provided by the hospice bereavement coordinator.
