Volunteer Role: Social Media Specialist(s)

CollabED is seeking Volunteer Social Media Specialists to help amplify an educator-led nonprofit community built on connection, reflection, and shared growth.

This is not a role about chasing trends, going viral, or flooding feeds with content. It is about telling real stories, lifting educator voices, and helping thoughtful ideas reach the people who need them.

You are helping shape how CollabED shows up in the world.

As a Social Media Specialist, you may:

• Create and schedule posts across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
• Translate CollabED content into engaging, human-centered social posts
• Highlight educator stories, reflections, and community moments
• Collaborate with the Director of Digital Brand and Learning Content on voice, tone, and campaigns
• Suggest content ideas rooted in real educator needs and experiences
• Monitor comments and messages with care and professionalism
• Help ensure that CollabED’s presence feels welcoming, thoughtful, and authentic

This is a creative, values-driven role. It is not about volume. It is about voice.

You do not need to be a professional marketer. You do not need a massive following. You do need:

• Strong written communication skills
• Sensitivity to educator culture and realities
• A collaborative mindset
• The ability to work independently and follow through
• An interest in purposeful, mission-aligned storytelling
