About TROA
The Realms of Asgard, or TROA, is a nonprofit organization focused on community-building, mental health advocacy, veteran engagement, peer support, and creating safe digital spaces for people who may not always feel reached by traditional systems.
As TROA grows, sustainable funding is essential. The Grants & Fundraising Manager helps identify funding opportunities, strengthen donor relationships, and support fundraising efforts that allow TROA’s mission to continue expanding.
Position Overview
The Grants & Fundraising Manager leads TROA’s grant research, fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and external funding efforts. This role works closely with leadership, finance, and program teams to turn TROA’s mission and program needs into strong funding proposals, donor communications, and impact reports.
This is a great role for someone who is organized, persuasive, mission-driven, and comfortable writing on behalf of a growing nonprofit.
Key Responsibilities
- Research grant opportunities aligned with TROA’s mission, programs, and organizational needs.
- Write, edit, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, sponsorship requests, and funding applications.
- Maintain a grant calendar with deadlines, requirements, submissions, awards, and reporting dates.
- Build and support relationships with donors, sponsors, grant agencies, and community funding partners.
- Develop and support fundraising campaigns, donation drives, sponsorship initiatives, and community giving efforts.
- Work with the CFO, Treasurer, and leadership to gather accurate budget, funding, and reporting information.
- Prepare progress reports, impact summaries, donor updates, and grant reports.
- Ensure grant and fundraising activities follow funding guidelines, reporting requirements, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with program and communications teams to tell TROA’s story in a clear, compelling, and fundable way.
Required Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage deadlines and track multiple funding opportunities at once.
- Professional communication skills with donors, funders, sponsors, and leadership.
- Comfort working independently in a remote volunteer environment.
- Ability to handle donor, financial, and organizational information with confidentiality.
- Commitment to TROA’s mission, including community support, mental health advocacy, veteran engagement, and safe digital spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with grant writing, fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit development, or sponsorship outreach.
- Familiarity with nonprofit funding, restricted grants, budgets, or impact reporting.
- Experience using donor databases, CRM platforms, spreadsheets, or project management tools.
- Background in nonprofit work, communications, finance, community organizing, or development.
- Experience planning fundraising campaigns, donation drives, or community events.
