Remote Volunteer News Presenter

Learn Together CIC is a Community Interest Company based in Manchester, UK. Through Together Media, we support people to develop digital, communication, journalism, and content creation skills through hands-on media work.

We are looking for volunteer remote news presenters to help create short-form and long-form news and explainer content focused on current affairs, politics, social issues, and community topics.

As part of the role, you may be involved in presenting clear and structured summaries of news stories, recording talking-head style videos using a phone or basic setup, contributing content ideas, and helping make news and social issues more accessible to wider audiences.

Content is developed collaboratively. Volunteers may be provided with scripts, structures, or talking points, with support available around delivery, filming setup, content structure, and confidence on camera. Volunteers may also suggest their own topics, provided they fit Together Media’s editorial approach and are based on trusted sources.

This role is remote and flexible, making it suitable for people interested in journalism, media, politics, communication, presenting, or content creation. Volunteers will gain practical experience in digital media production, build a portfolio of published work, and receive guidance on areas such as video editing, branding, and developing their own independent content creator platforms.

No professional experience is required, but an interest in news, current affairs, social issues, and clear communication is important.
