CRM Post-Launch Review & Optimization for Virtual 5K Campaign

APTW is moving forward with our Virtual 5K campaign internally, so volunteers do not need to be available by August 31. Skilled pro bono support can begin before or after launch. We welcome professionals who can help review, strengthen, and optimize the systems already in place as our campaign continues through December 31, 2026.

Achieving Positive Thinking Worldwide (APTW) is seeking a skilled pro bono professional to help strengthen and further develop the Wix, Givebutter, digital fundraising and marketing-automation infrastructure supporting our Virtual 5K and our 2027 positive signature events—the Celebrity Chef Cook-Off and Celebrity Fashion Show.

We are not starting from zero. APTW already uses Wix and Givebutter and has existing website content, fundraising resources and campaign materials. We are seeking someone with deeper technical expertise who can evaluate what we have, improve it and connect the pieces into a seamless supporter experience.

Primary Project — APTW Virtual 5K

We would like help developing a digital participant and fundraising journey that can:

• Optimize our Virtual 5K registration experience
• Capture participant/contact information and help grow APTW’s national and international community
• Strengthen the integration of our existing Wix website and Givebutter fundraising tools
• Create a clear voluntary donation pathway
• Explore Givebutter peer-to-peer fundraising capabilities
• Develop automated registration confirmations and participant communications
• Incorporate employer matching-gift opportunities where appropriate
• Track registrations, donations, referrals, engagement and campaign performance

Complimentary Digital Resource

APTW’s digital resource, The 5 Habits of Highly Positive Thinkers by Yvette Kelley, is already fully written and designed.

The volunteer is not being asked to create the guide. We need help implementing its automated delivery so registered Virtual 5K participants can receive an immediate download and/or automated email containing the resource.

Ideally:

REGISTER → CONFIRMATION → DOWNLOAD RESOURCE → DONATION/SHARING OPPORTUNITY → PARTICIPATE → STAY CONNECTED

2027 Celebrity Signature Events

The infrastructure developed for the Virtual 5K should provide a scalable foundation for APTW’s positive signature events:

Celebrity Chef Cook-Off — 2027

Celebrity Fashion Show — 2027

Future applications may include event interest and registration, volunteer recruitment, online fundraising, corporate sponsor inquiries, donor engagement, event communications and post-event stewardship.

The volunteer is not expected to completely build both 2027 event systems during this initial project. We want the Virtual 5K infrastructure developed intelligently so it can later be expanded and reused.

Ideal Skills

Experience in several of the following areas would be especially valuable:

• Wix website development
• Givebutter fundraising
• Wix + Givebutter integration
• Nonprofit digital fundraising
• Marketing/email automation
• CRM and contact management
• Peer-to-peer fundraising
• Online registration
• Digital analytics
• Donor/supporter journeys

Experience with nonprofit organizations is helpful but not required.

Our Approach

We are not looking for an unnecessarily complicated or expensive technology stack. Our preference is to maximize APTW’s existing Wix and Givebutter resources before adding additional paid platforms.

APTW will maintain ownership and administrative control of its website, domain, Givebutter account, participant/donor information, digital resources and organizational assets.

We would also appreciate straightforward documentation or training so APTW can confidently maintain and reuse the system after the project is completed.

This is a skilled PRO BONO volunteer opportunity. No hourly rate or fee proposal is requested.
