Are you looking to share your special interests with the world? Are you excited by the chance to center and celebrate the experiences of neurodiverse children? Are you ready to make a difference and have a great time while doing it?
Whether you’re a student, professional, or just someone passionate about inclusion and fun, if the answer to any of the questions above is an enthusiastic yes, we’d love to have you on our team! Please consider joining Extreme Kids & Crew as a volunteer for our Weekly Club Programs.
Extreme Kids and Crew (EKC) is an organization that provides play spaces for neurodivergent youth and their families. These collaborative community spaces foster self-confidence and community development for young people often isolated from public spaces. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring individuals to support our programs for neurodivergent children and their families. Volunteers engage with the kids throughout the session while encouraging creativity, participation, and joy throughout our time together. This is a wonderful opportunity to build meaningful connections, be part of a supportive community, and directly impact the lives of amazing kids and families.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Virtual Dungeons and Dragons Crew (Hosted on Zoom)
DESCRIPTION
Virtual Dungeon and Dragons Crew encourages young people to turn on their imaginations and flex their storytelling muscles within the popular tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons (D&D). Designed for folks ages 12-16, this program is open to anyone interested in learning about and exploring creative and cooperative worlds that D&D offers. Along the way, participants will further develop their social skills, as well as their ability to collaborate. Led by an experienced Dungeon Master (DM) and co-facilitated by Program and Operations Specialist, Christian Peralta, players do not have to know how to play fully, but should have a high interest in learning the game. All meetings will be held virtually over Zoom.
