Seniors for Seniors

There are many hospice patients that request a volunteer that is close to their age which is why we are seeking volunteers that are above the age of 50. With this program we are able to connect our patients to someone that they can connect with on topics that are relatable to both the volunteer and patient. Our hospice volunteers have many reasons for giving their time. Some are looking for a fulfilling way to develop and grow personally and others have been helped by our agency and want to give back. Still others simply want to help improve the lives of members of their community. Whatever the reason, as a hospice volunteer, you will gain great personal satisfaction from knowing that you have made a difference in another person’s life. Hospice allows volunteers to choose their needs, and gives them the opportunity to use their training and talents to enrich the lives of our patients and their families in many different ways.
