As a ReStore Volunteer, how you will help your local Habitat ReStore may vary, but the following are the most common tasks. You may process donations; helping, clean, fix and get them ready for the floor. Donations can come in through trucks, pick-ups or drops off as such you may unload trucks and help stock shelves. Volunteers may also organize the ReStore and the warehouse. By giving your time and talents, you can help the Habitat ReStore do more to support homebuilding projects that benefit families in your community and around the world.
- Act as an ambassador of the Habitat Capital Region ReStore while interacting with donors, shoppers and employees.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of the store.
- Maintain safety within the store and outside area and Habitat ReStore equipment.
- Assist with donation screening and drop-offs.
- Sort donations and move them to the appropriate section of the warehouse for processing (cleaning, testing, recycling, pricing, etc.).
- Help with processing, organizing and merchandising of donations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Cómo participar como voluntario(a) en esta oportunidad
Volunteer applications, background checks and waivers are processed on Tuesdays. Once those are processed approved volunteers are contacted about signing up to attend a Volunteer orientation that are held weekly. When orientation is completed volunteers self schedule through our volunteer portal.
