The Capital Campaign Fundraiser will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing a two-year Capital Campaign to raise funds to meet our goals. This role requires someone who has led capital campaigns before, has strong donor relationships in the Philadelphia region, and is passionate about advancing gender equity and safe housing.
The Campaign Goal:
- To raise funds to acquire and operate a mansion-style property that will serve as:
- The organization’s headquarters
- A residential space for women in crisis
- A venue to host our Programs
- A community hub for recovery programs, holiday dinners (e.g., Thanksgiving), and youth empowerment events
- Additional amenities such as a tennis court or swimming pool are envisioned to provide a space of dignity, wellness, and healing
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Planning & Execution
- Design and lead a 2-year comprehensive capital campaign aligned with our goal to acquire a mansion-style headquarters with space for events, housing, and healing programs.
- Set financial benchmarks and timelines, track campaign progress, and adapt strategies as needed.
- Donor Cultivation & Relationship Management
- Build and steward relationships with major donors, philanthropic institutions, and corporate sponsors.
- Identify new funding opportunities and leverage existing networks to expand donor base.
- Events & Visibility
- Develop campaign collateral, grant proposals, donor decks, and reports.
- Plan and support donor engagement events, campaign milestones, and promotional opportunities to maintain campaign momentum.
- Craft compelling messaging and materials that speak to the transformative impact of The Women’s Empowerment Series Inc.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, including at least one successful capital campaign of $1M+
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and close major gifts
- Strong connections to donor networks in the Philadelphia region
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-directed, goal-driven, and mission-aligned
- Must be based in Philadelphia region
