Every student learns differently, and you can be the key to helping them succeed! We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Online Geometry Tutor to help students develop a strong understanding of geometry and improve their mathematics skills. It's not just tutoring ~ it's transforming lives!

Responsibilities:

• Provide online geometry tutoring tailored to students’ individual learning needs
• Help students understand geometric concepts and problem-solving strategies
• Assist primarily with homework or studying for quizzes, exams, and review of course material
• Adapt tutoring session to students' learning styles and academic levels
• Encourage confidence and critical thinking

Hollywood PAL is committed to supporting low-income youth in the Hollywood Community. By volunteering, you become a beacon of hope for these amazing kids

What's Required:

• Commitment: Available to meet twice a week for one-hour sessions. Remain consistent in meeting for sessions and commitment of at least 4 months
• Subject Expertise: Proficient and confident in the subject you will be tutoring
• Motivation: A genuine interest in helping students succeed academically and further their skills in the subject areas they are struggling with
• Communication Skills: Be able to explain concepts clearly and adapt an effective teaching style/plan to meet the needs of the student. Ability to communicate with the tutoring coordinator
• Able to utilize Zoom effectively to meet for all tutoring sessions

Tutoring Details:

Flexible Hours: Mondays to Thursdays 4:00 to 7:00pm

kids: 8th-12th grade
