Hospice Volunteer – Caregiver Relief

Do you have a caring heart and a little time to give? Heart to Heart Hospice is looking for compassionate volunteers in the Marion area to provide much-needed caregiver relief to families caring for a loved one at the end of life.

As a caregiver relief volunteer, you can give a family caregiver the opportunity to take a break, run errands, attend an appointment, or simply have some time to recharge—while providing companionship and a reassuring presence to their loved one.

What You’ll Do

• Spend time with a hospice patient in their home
• Provide companionship through conversation, reading, music, or simply being present
• Give family caregivers a short, meaningful break
• Offer kindness, compassion, and a listening ear

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need medical experience. We’re looking for people who are:

• Compassionate and dependable
• Comfortable spending time with individuals and families
• Willing to listen and simply be present
• At least 18 years old

A few hours a month can make a tremendous difference. Your presence can give a caregiver the peace of mind to step away for a little while, knowing their loved one is not alone.

Training and support are provided. Background check and required health screening are part of the onboarding process.
