We are seeking Volunteer Piano Teachers to support our Community Roots Music Program for children and youth ages 3 to 17. Volunteers will work with beginner-level students in a supportive, community-centered learning environment.
This is a great opportunity for piano teachers, music students, retired educators, or experienced musicians who want to make a meaningful impact through arts education.
Program Schedule
Program dates: February 21, 2026 – May 30, 2026
Day and time: Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: First Christian Church of Atlanta, Tucker, GA
Volunteers do not need to commit to the full day. If you are available for a few hours on Saturdays, we are happy to work with your schedule.
Responsibilities
• Provide 1on 1 individual piano instruction to children and youth (ages 3–17), primarily beginners
• Support individual or small-group lessons
• Encourage positive learning habits, confidence, and musical growth
• Collaborate with ANAM Georgia staff and fellow volunteers
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
• Piano proficiency and basic teaching ability
• Experience working with children or youth is preferred (but not required)
• Patience, reliability, and a heart for community service
• Ability to pass a basic background check
