Volunteer Opportunity: Dog Adoption Show Setup

A Home of Their Own is committed to rescuing as many dogs and cats as possible and finding them the best forever homes. After adoption, we provide education, training, outreach, and support to build a strong, compassionate community of pet guardians.

We’re currently seeking a volunteer to assist with dog adoption show setup on the 5th Saturday of certain months, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at:

PetSmart - 12020 Cherry Hill Rd., Calverton/Silver Spring

Responsibilities include:

• Setting up the informational table (adoptable dog binder, treats, resources)
• Filling and refilling water bowls for the dogs
• Assisting new volunteers attending their first adoption show
• Answering general questions about adoptable dogs
• Explaining the adoption process to potential adopters

All training and supplies will be provided.
