About Us

VET Global Impact (Veterans for Empowerment and Transformation) is a fully established 501(c)(3) nonprofit with an official EIN. We are a veteran led organization dedicated to empowering service members, veterans, immigrant soldiers, and their families. Our work focuses on mental health support, suicide prevention, education, workforce development, and family reintegration.

Many of the individuals we serve come from immigrant backgrounds and face unique challenges during and after military service. We are committed to ensuring that every soldier and family member has access to the resources, opportunities, and community support they need to thrive. By strengthening their well being, we strengthen our communities and our nation.

Position Overview

We are seeking motivated and mission driven volunteers to support our organization in communications, outreach, strategic planning, and community engagement. Volunteers in this role will help amplify our message, expand our reach, and support the development of programs that directly impact military families, including immigrant service members who often face additional barriers.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy public speaking, community organizing, strategic thinking, or nonprofit development. Whether you are an experienced professional or someone looking to gain experience in the nonprofit sector, your contribution will help us grow and serve more families.

Key Responsibilities

Communications and Outreach

• Spread awareness about VET Global Impact’s mission, programs, and events
• Represent the organization at community events, conferences, or virtual presentations
• Assist in creating outreach materials such as flyers, social media content, newsletters, and talking points
• Support public relations efforts and help build partnerships with local organizations

Planning and Strategy

• Participate in organizational planning sessions and brainstorming meetings
• Assist with developing strategies for program expansion, volunteer recruitment, and community impact
• Provide input on long term goals, outreach campaigns, and community initiatives

Community Engagement and Activities

• Help coordinate community events, workshops, or support groups
• Engage with veterans, immigrant soldiers, military families, and community partners to build strong relationships
• Support the organization in identifying community needs and opportunities for collaboration

Organizational Support

• Assist with administrative tasks, scheduling, and project coordination
• Collaborate with other volunteers and team members to ensure smooth operations
• Participate in occasional in person activities if available

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Comfortable speaking about the organization’s mission in public or group settings
• Experience in communications, public speaking, community organizing, or nonprofit work is helpful but not required
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
• Access to a computer and reliable internet connection
• Passionate about supporting veterans, immigrant soldiers, service members, and their families

Schedule and Time Commitment

• Time Commitment: A few hours per week
• Availability: As needed
• Recurrence: Ongoing
• Volunteers Needed: 3 to 5
