ESL Class Instructor

The Literacy Council of Frederick County is looking for volunteers with teaching experience and/or experience working with English Language Learners. (Teaching experience can be as a volunteer or paid instructor. ) Volunteers will lead ESL classes in Frederick County to serve adult English Language Learners in our community. Based on your availability, weekly classes can be scheduled in person or via Zoom during the day, evenings, or weekends for approximately 60-90 minutes per class. We ask for a minimum commitment of eight weeks; however, this can be a longer assignment for volunteers who wish to serve for an extended period. Instructors will use the Ventures curriculum series in an engaging, student-paced environment. Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and live or work in Frederick County Maryland.
