Volunteer with U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 11-1 Clearwater

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed, all-volunteer arm of the Coast Guard, established by Congress in 1939. Flotilla 11-1 Clearwater is proud to continue this mission by promoting boating safety, supporting Coast Guard operations, and serving our local community on and off the water.

Who Can Join?

Membership is open to U.S. citizens ages 17 and older with no serious criminal history. No prior boating or military experience is required—just a willingness to learn and serve.

Ways You Can Serve:

• Join on-the-water patrols and assist with search and rescue support
• Teach boating safety classes to help save lives
• Conduct vessel safety checks for recreational boaters
• Visit local marine dealers to share boating safety information
• Contribute to leadership, administration, and organizational roles
