Social Media Team Member

General about us:

Our director, Rachel, founded CarefreeCapping following completing treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2022. Rachel used cold cap therapy, a newer technology that saved 95% of her hair during and following completing chemotherapy. Cold cap therapy completely changed Rachel's experience of having cancer so young, so Rachel and her mom decided to open a nonprofit to help others diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma have access to this innovative technology.

CarefreeCapping is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit based in SE Michigan whose mission is to subsidize cold cap therapy for Hodgkin's lymphoma patients in the US and Canada. We also engage with the medical community to promote cold cap education, and reduce barriers for individuals with Hodgkin's lymphoma who wish to utilize cold cap therapy.

Social Media Specialist:

Carefree Capping is seeking additional team members that will help us increase our online presence, improve our marketing, and form new connections in the community. You will assist our current awesome social media team with content calendar planning, social media campaigns/partnerships, and joining relevant conversations on behalf of our nonprofit.

Objectives~

• Utilize your knowledge of digital marketing, content creation to engage in social media campaigns that increase brand awareness and reach
• Increase followership on Facebook and Instagram
• Form new relationships with relevant businesses and other nonprofit organizations
• increase the visibility of our social content
• build and execute social media strategy through research, messaging, and audience identification
• Have a fun and creative outlet!

Responsibilities~

• ensure there is content ready to post
• work with the social media team weekly to generate, edit, and share content that builds connections and encourages community members to engage with us online
• collaborate with the rest of our departments to utilize social media for areas like fundraising and event exposure
• Organize social media campaigns and giveaways
