host families needed for high school international exchange students

Hosting an international student is a life changing experience for everyone involved. Our students arrive from a variety of countries, ages 14-18, and are looking for an American family to help fulfill their dream to spend a year in the United States. They join family activities, meals, holidays and traditions. They live like a member of your family and become family forever!!

Our students all have their own spending money for their necessities like personal hygiene items, clothing, cell phone, and sports and activities, as well as medical insurance, have good English skills, and are highly screened for the program. Host famililes provide students with a loving and nurturing home, a warm bed in a shared room or their own, 3 meals per day in the home and help with transportation so the student can attend the local high school, participate in sports, clubs and activities and experience a typical high school year in the US!

All host families must complete an application to host and submit background checks for all members of the family 17 years and older. They will work with a local area representative to complete approval to host. Area reps will conduct a home interview, check references and a host family orientation. They will also support both the student and the host family through the year through monthly check ins both in person and via phone calls.
