Volunteer Marketing Assistant – Philly CoderDojo (Remote)
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: Flexible: 3, 6 or 9+ hours/month based on your availability.
Age Requirement: 18+
Empower Youth Through Tech Education
Philly CoderDojo is a free, volunteer-led online coding club for youth ages 7–17. We’re looking for passionate individuals—especially those with experience or interest in marketing, communications, or digital media—to help us grow our reach and impact.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and schedule social media content across platforms
- Assist with email newsletters and blog posts
- Help develop outreach campaigns and promotional materials
- Support storytelling through student and mentor spotlights
- Track engagement and help refine messaging based on performance
Who We’re Looking For:
- Passionate about youth empowerment, education, and tech
- Strong writing, editing, or design skills (Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress a plus!)
- Organized, creative, and collaborative
- No formal marketing experience required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn

Additional Requirements
To ensure a safe and supportive environment for our youth, all volunteers must:
- Complete required federal, state, and local clearances to work with minors
- Complete online safeguarding training, including:
- CoderDojo Ethos & Behavior: Implementation and Practice
- Social Media & Communication Guidelines for Volunteers
These steps are essential to maintaining the integrity and safety of our program. We’re here to support you through the process!
Not a coder? No problem! We also welcome volunteers for non-technical roles supporting Philly CoderDojo’s development, outreach, and administration.
Have a child who loves tech? Parents are welcome to enroll their children in our free coding sessions—no volunteer commitment required. But if you’re interested in giving back while your child learns, we’d love to have you join our mentor team too!
