Who We Are

Seaside Sustainability is a nonprofit organization based in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Seaside Sustainability's mission is to protect and restore our oceans by educating people of all ages about the critical issues that threaten our environment; promoting best practices for sustainability; and inspiring meaningful advocacy and hands-on action. Seaside works with schools, cities and towns, environmental groups, technology companies, and individuals. Together, we strive to ensure the healthy future of oceans, rivers, wetlands, and estuaries around the world.

Role Overview

The Podcast & Video team handles the planning, execution, and promotion of podcast and video productions. This team is involved in content creation, script development, recording sessions, and multimedia content distribution across various platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of podcast and video productions.
• Assist in content creation, script development, and coordination of recording sessions.
• Contribute to the promotion of podcast and video content across various channels.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Proficiency in social media management and content creation tools
• Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and report on campaign performance
• Creativity and a passion for storytelling through various media formats
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement
• Previous experience in marketing operations, including scheduling and campaign implementation
• Background in data analysis and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
• Experience in podcast and video production, including content development and editing
• Familiarity with marketing platforms and tools, such as Hootsuite, MailerLite, and Trello
• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program related to marketing, communications, business, fine arts, or a related field

• Flexible hours per week
• At least 3 months (flexible)
