- Math Festival volunteers are a vital part of sharing fun, joyful, hands-on math at a Math Festival. At a Math Festival, children and their families explore a variety of hands-on math puzzles and games at their own pace. Each puzzle and game will have at least one volunteer who will have 3 main responsibilities:
- Providing clear instructions when students and families walk up to the table
- Cleaning up the stations when they leave
- As much as possible, not giving away any answers
- A volunteer training is held one hour before a Math Festival, so volunteers do not need to have any particular background. As long as you have an open mind towards math and are excited to share joyful math with kids and families, you'll make a perfect Math Festival volunteer!
