Position Summary:
The Finance Coordinator will oversee the financial operations of Safe Haven Space, ensuring the organization’s financial health and sustainability. This individual will be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the organization’s annual budget in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board of Directors and Program Team
- Track and record all income, expenses, and financial transactions using accounting software.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations, including tax filings and audits.
- Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations to ensure financial stability.
- Work with the Grant Writer to create and manage grant budgets and financial reports.
- Work with Treasure to oversee financial aspects of fundraising campaigns and donor contributions.
- Implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accountability.
- Assist in managing payroll (Future)) and reimbursements for team members as well as making sure all reimbursements are settled on time
Time Commitment:
- 10–15 hours per month, with flexibility depending on organizational needs.
