About Us
Kazoza Initiative Association is a nonprofit organization based in Bujumbura, Burundi. Since 2016, we have been empowering vulnerable children and youth through:
- School sponsorship for orphans and vulnerable children
- Holiday Programs (Vacances Utiles) for education and empowerment
- Hospital visits to bring hope to sick children
- Youth mentoring and training
We are committed to building long-term solutions, including training centers, hospitals, and schools.
Role Description
We are seeking a Fundraising Volunteer to help us strengthen and sustain our programs. As part of our team, you will play a key role in connecting us with donors, partners, and sponsors who share our vision for children’s education and development.
Responsibilities
- Identify and reach out to potential donors, institutions, churches, NGOs, and corporate sponsors
- Assist in preparing fundraising materials, proposals, and presentations
- Support grant research and application writing
- Help organize local and international fundraising campaigns or events
- Develop creative fundraising ideas to support school sponsorships and community programs
Requirements
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Experience or interest in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- English required; French or Kirundi is a plus
- Commitment to the mission of supporting vulnerable children and youth
Time Commitment
- Flexible, around 3–5 hours per week (remote volunteering possible)
