About Alternative Baseball: Alternative Baseball is a nationwide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides an authentic baseball experience for teens (15+) and adults with autism and other disabilities. Founded in 2016, we now serve players across 12+ states with a mission to develop life skills, confidence, and community connections through America's pastime. We are an associated member of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).
Unlike traditional adaptive sports programs, Alternative Baseball follows Major League rules - wood bats, base stealing, dropped third strike, regulation fields - giving players the genuine baseball experience they deserve. Our motto says it all: "Hit, Run, Inspire & Succeed."
What We're Looking For: We're seeking passionate volunteers to launch and lead Alternative Baseball programs in their local communities. No prior coaching experience required - just a heart for inclusion and a willingness to invest 2-3 hours per practice set during our seasons (typically Spring and Fall). You would be in charge of setting your own schedule whereas we license out the resources that helps your new program become successful long-term.
